Finally got the big meeting I had been waiting for! Hopefully we can get this project off the ground.

Seemed to go well with the ‘Big Honcho’ of a very well known studio. They said they’d be in contact shortly.

Still buzzing from this morning’s meeting – spent the afternoon indulging in my first decadent lunch in what seems like years! Was then very naughty and maxed out the card on a beautiful pair of shoos – but I’m celebrating right!!

Ok maybe I got carried away yesterday! Reality starting to hit and dinner last night was my usual fair of a Rye Cracker and soft cheese. Everything literally crossed for good news!

No call yet though!

Checked the phones – called my mobile from the landline and my landline from the mobile and no problem there.

Got a letter: Very nice polite rejection from the assistant of the assistant of the Executive . Can’t even look at the new-shoes!

A big party in the Hills tomorrow night and I am lucky enough to be a plus-one – just what I need to forget my woes and back on the networking circuit.

Despite the fact I am scraping by at the grocery store it was too late to return the shoes – but at least they’re perfect for tonight’s party

Wow – what a night – I felt a million dollars and met a fantastic film producer who loved the idea of my script. He wants to read it. Tomorrow will send him a script.. Well…who needs agent.

A few days have passed. Got phone call. So how did you love my script?…I asked. Well… sorry it is a pass… was his answer.

I stare at the photograph (me and my agent) sitting at the bed side table and for the first time I missed myself !
